Digital Tinnitus Therapy with QCore & Hearing Institute

A New Treatment Option for Chronic Tinnitus

QCore is a novel, non-invasive digital therapy developed by TrueSilence Therapeutics. It is a structured, clinician-guided treatment programme (led by an audiologist) designed to help reduce the burden of tinnitus and support habituation over time.

QCore combines personalised sound therapy, active therapeutic engagement, and guided support in one integrated treatment system. Delivered through a software-based therapy platform and supported by a clinician dashboard, QCore connects professional NZ audiology care with a daily treatment plan at home.

How QCore Works:

The 3 Pillars of QCore

QCore is a scientifically informed 12-week treatment programme that uses personalised sound, active participation, and guided support to help patients manage symptoms of tinnitus more effectively.

Personalised Sound Therapy

QCore uses your tinnitus profile and hearing information to create a treatment experience tailored to you. The programme includes three therapy modes:

  • Relief: Interactive sounds designed to help reduce awareness of tinnitus (including ringing in the ear) in the moment.

  • Relaxation: Calming soundscapes intended to help lower stress and emotional tension associated with tinnitus.

  • Retraining: Structured listening activities designed to support attention control and habituation over time.

Active Therapeutic Engagement

QCore incorporates interactive therapeutic exercises and game-based activities that encourage active participation in treatment. This helps make daily therapy more engaging and supports consistent use as part of a structured routine. These activities are designed to strengthen auditory attention and help shift focus away from tinnitus.

Goal-Based Support

Tinnitus affects more than hearing alone. QCore also includes guided, goal-based support to help patients manage the stress, frustration, and emotional burden that often accompany tinnitus.

Your 12-Week

QCore Journey

Clinician Assessment: Your audiologist uses the clinician dashboard to assess your tinnitus, understand your hearing profile, and establish your treatment goals.

Daily Treatment at Home: You begin your personalised QCore treatment programme at home, following a structured daily therapy plan of approximately 60 minutes.

Progress Monitoring: Your Auckland audiologist can monitor your progress throughout the programme and make adjustments as needed to keep treatment aligned with your response and goals.

Long-Term Goal: The goal of QCore is to help reduce the impact of tinnitus and support habituation, so that tinnitus becomes less intrusive in daily life.

Tinnitus affects more than hearing alone. QCore is designed to address not just the sound, but the stress, frustration, and emotional impact that comes with it, supporting habituation so tinnitus becomes less intrusive in everyday life.
